Fruits and vegetables are excellent sources of vitamins, minerals and nutrients that can help keep your immune system strong not only in winter, but any time of the year. I go through phases with juicing, as well as phases of drinking this apple cider vinegar detox drink. I haven’t juiced in months but today juice sounded amazing. Maybe my body is feeling weak and was telling me that it needed more vitamins, minerals and nutrients that I have not been getting from my day-to-day diet?

I do know that this juice can do amazing things for the body and the immune system. Full of vitamins A, B, C and D, as well as other nutrients and minerals, this juice has many health benefits. It contains antioxidants, is antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and has an alkaline-forming effect on the body. Keeping our bodies slightly alkaline is a key in avoiding illness.

Here is the recipe! It is pretty straightforward. If you don’t have a juicer already, this is the juicer I use and have been very happy with. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do ๐Ÿ™‚

I am an aspiring homesteader on a journey to become self-sustainable and free. In my past, I've worked corporate jobs to make ends meet and get ahead a little; it didn't make me happy or confident in my future. Since taking the leap to self-employment and living a more simple life, my happiness levels have increased greatly and I've never felt more alive. I finally understand what I want in life and how to get there, and that is what this blog is all about.

Great immunity juice recipe here Alyssa! These ingredients are definitely good ones to help with natural immunity boosting. I like how this juice is simple, and easy to make which is really a bonus when you’re not feeling so well, or are just on a busy schedule!

You could also add a bit of garlic to this juice recipe, to really kick it up a notch! Just a little will go a long way at first for newer juicers, because it does have a powerful flavor. ๐Ÿ™‚

How many times per day or month to drink, and do you mix with water? And does you have dosege?

You can drink this as much or as little as you would like ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s always great to do at the onset of a cold for the extra vitamin boost but is also great for preventative use. I’m not sure what you mean by dosage… I just drink the whole glass and sometimes make more if my craving isn’t satiated.

I am new to juicing and this is a great juice. I only used 1/2 ” of ginger and added an apple, too.

I added half the ginger and an apple to orange, 1/2 lemon and it tastes great.

When juicing, do you use the rind of the citrus?
